Mumbai or Bombay?

Media reports made it loud and clear, one more time:

It's the return of the Mumbai-Bombay tug of war. The Shiv Sena's latest targets are the Bombay Scottish school and the Bombay Dyeing Mills. Sena workers blackened the signboards and demanded that Mumbai be used in place of Bombay. Not happy with renaming the island city as Mumbai almost 12 years ago. On Sunday, Shiv Sena members vandalised signboards of two prominent institutions, which cling on to the B-word in their names. - CNN IBN

The attacks came following an article written by Sena MP and executive editor of party mouthpiece Saamna published on Sunday. In his weekly column, Raut said that usage of ''Bombay'' even a decade after the city was renamed is a rebellion against the Marathi pride. - NDTV

That means if the demand goes through, we'd have:

Mumbai Scottish and NOT Bombay Scottish

Mumbai Dyeing and NOT Bombay Dyeing

Mumbai Times and NOT Bombay Times

Mumbai High Court and NOT Bombay High Court

Mumbai Stock Exchange and NOT Bombay Stock Exchange

American School of Mumbai and NOT American School of Bombay

This one's FUNNY: The Mumbai Store and NOT The Bombay Store - since 1906.

Any more you can think of? Send them over, and I'll credit you for recommending them.

Anushka Sharma, new Kid on the Block?

The Times of India reports, a 19-year old model from Bangalore has already floored Yash Chopra and has been roped into Aditya Chopra’s next film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The film is expected to go on floors on May 16 and hit theatre screens on December 12.

Hmm... let's hope we don't get to see a day when the lead actress is all of 16, or maybe 15.
